Description : Scheduled area ammended 29/1/91.
JUNCTION OF FOUR PARISH BOUNDARIES (and 2 or more estates) WHICH WAS MARKED BY THREE ERECT STANDING STONES - POSSIBLE REMAINS OF CROMLECH ACCORDING TO LLWYD IN 17TH CENTURY. ONLY ONE RECUMBENT STONE REMAINS WITH BOUNDARY INSCRIPTION. THE NAME BWRDD Y TRI ARGLWYDD HAS BEEN THOUGHT TO BE SUGGESTIVE OF REMAINS OF A DOLMEN.
The boundary stone was recumbent, located on the grass verge of a farm track, until it was re-erected c. 1989 on a plinth 0.65m high. The stone itself is 0.8 x 0.35m, and is no longer in its original position. The W face of the stone has an incised R and the S face what looks like a 9. Two possible cup-marks were identified (PRN 25263), one near the middle of the upper surface, and one near the base of the S side. A large stone lies c.0.3m from the E side of the plinth and large stones to the W may be the site of the possible cromlech. (Cadw, 1989).
