This cairn was described by RCAHMW in 1962 as 'a large circular cairn 12.8 m in diameter, generally about 1.2 m high though the upcast of stones from a large central robber - crater has given the mass a height of 1.8 m on the E, and S. There is a short length of roughly coursed kerb on the N.E. Some disturbed slabs in the central hollow may be from a cist.'
Close to the NGR given, at the edge of a ride, there was group of fallen trees which made it impossible either to penetrate the planting to reach the NGR, or to see in to try to identify the clearing noted. An attempt was made to reach the site from the track on the other side of the block of planting, but it was too dense. GGAT 72
