The Platform was one of the principle viewing structures constructed along the length of the 18th century Piercefield Walk.
This is an elevated viewing platform, 7.5m wide by 2.8m deep, built of well-masoned coursed limestone rubble over a natural rock outcrop. The Platform was one of the principle viewing structures constructed along the length of the 18th century Piercefield Walk. In its heyday, this famous 18th century walk attracted visitors from both Britain and abroad who came to admire the deliberate landscaped views it offered of the Wye Valley.
